Hi I’m Jeff Weld and I directed Iowa’s statewide STEM program on behalf of Governor Branstad-then-Reynolds for over twelve years – up until just a few months ago. I also established the post of Chief Innovation Officer for the state’s Education Department in 2023. And back in 2018-19 I served the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy as Senior Policy Advisor on STEM Education, producing the Federal STEM strategic plan, among other things.
